Painter

Donna’s art explorations started as a young child where she always had a set of pencil crayons in her hands. Further artistic interests developed during university but were then put on hold until 2006 when she enrolled in the University of Saskatchewan Certificate in Art and Design (USCAD) extension program from which she graduated in 2009. Donna also holds a Bachelor in Home Economics with a major in Housing and Design. She spend several years in housing administration and free-lance interior design.

Although Donna’s primary medium for her abstract artistic style is acrylic on canvas or board, soft pastels, watercolour, ink, fabric, encaustic, and oil sticks also find their way onto her table. In developing her artistic portfolio as an emerging artist, Donna enjoys the discovery of colour, line, and functional application in her art making.

Recently art has been a delightful journey which provides a creative opportunity to explore diverse subjects and mediums.

I was proud to be a student at the Emma Lake art school during the final class offered at Kenderdine Campus in 2012 and am a member of the group "Emma Lake Artists & Beyond".
