William Vlieland obituary – CA

Vlieland, William “Bill,” passed away on October 7 at the home of daughter Susan in Riverside, CA. Born in Wisconsin, his family moved to California in 1941. William moved to Anaheim in 1961. brother, Russell Vlieland (OR); sisters, Jean Harrison (CA) and Betty LaBeau (AZ) and his children; daughters, Susan Bailey (CA), Laura Gregg (ID), Sandra Nevins (UT); son, William Vlieland (CA); stepdaughter Victoria Siegert (CA) and stepson Larry Ferre (OR). He now has 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. William served in the Navy from January 1944 to May 1946, stationed at Subbase #128, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. He was a machinist by trade and opened the Manti Machine Company in 1965. He always had a love for fishing and enjoyed playing golf and cards. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2007, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM, and Wednesday, October 17, 2007, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, at the Rose Hills Mortuary Stateroom, Gate 1. Service will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2007, 1:00 PM at Memorial Chapel, Gate 1. Burial in Rose Hills Memorial Park, 3888 Workman Mill Rd., Whittier, CA.
