Northeastern finishes 18th at NCAA Regatta

BETHEL, Ohio (June 2, 2024) — The Northeastern women’s rowing team placed 18th overall in the Division I team standings on the final day of competition at the 2024 NCAA Rowing Championship.

As Northeastern made its tenth consecutive appearance at the national championship regatta, the Huskies rowed to 18th in the varsity eight rankings (seeded No. 18), 19th place in the second varsity eight rankings (seeded No. 19 ) and 20th in the varsity four classification (seeded No. 19). This was the Huskies’ second consecutive 18th-place finish at the NCAA Regatta, their best performance since 2017.

  • The varsity four started the day with a second-place finish in the D final with a time of 7:42.081, just under two seconds behind first-place SMU.
  • Northeastern’s second varsity eight ended their weekend on a high note, placing first in the D final and crossing the finish line in a time of 6:53.263.
  • The first varsity eight rowed in the C final for the second year in a row, finishing in a time of 6:38.497.
