Cherry Festival will rock Beaumont in a new location

The annual summer festival returns this year, but be sure to keep an eye out for the new location.

BEAUMONT, CA — It’s almost time for the Cherry Festival to take over Beaumont once again, as the annual event brings attractions, concerts, a parade and more to the city. This year, however, you won’t see the lights as you walk down Orange or Maple Avenue to Stewart Park. Instead, the action will take place along Oak Valley Parkway in Noble Creek Park.

The 104th annual Cherry Festival kicks off Thursday, May 30 at Noble Creek Regional Park, located at 390 Oak Valley Parkway. The festivities last until Sunday, June 2.

Day-long admission prices range from $10 to $18 per person. A four-day wristband costs between $30 and $54. Children up to 4 years old are free.

Admission provides access to the festival grounds and live music line-up. Carnival tickets are sold separately.

More than a dozen bands will perform live during the four-day event, including the Red Hot Cholo Peppers and Locash.

The entertainment offering is as follows:

The location for the Cherry Festival isn’t the only thing that has changed this year. The organizers announced a new policy for minors present.

“Due to previous incidents at the Cherry Festival, the CFA is enforcing a strict chaperone policy,” the Cherry Festival Association said on Instagram. “Guests aged 17 or under must be accompanied by a supervisor aged at least 21 to access the venue.”

One supervisor is needed for every ten young people, who will stay on site with their guests.

Additionally, guests are only allowed to bring clear bags into the venue.

Something that will remain the same this year is the annual parade down Beaumont Avenue to 6th Street. The parade starts at 10:30 am on Saturday.

The festival times are as follows:

  • Thursday: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Friday: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Saturday: 12:00 – 12:00
  • Sunday: 12:00 – 21:00
