Indians host youth baseball clinic before Wednesday night’s game – Indianapolis News | Weather Indiana | Indiana traffic

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Indianapolis’ Triple-A baseball team is helping youth expand America’s pastime.

Before Wednesday night’s game, the Indians will hold a youth clinic to try to get more kids involved in baseball and softball by teaching young players the basics of the game.

The clinic will include an introduction by Indians manager Miguel Perez and players who will lead the pitching, fielding, catching and baserunning stations.

After this, children aged 14 and under will take to the field to practice the fundamentals at various stations with Indian players, while parents can ask questions to the club’s coaching staff.

The clinic is for children 14 and under and is included with the purchase of a ticket for Wednesday night’s game. Gates open early at 5:00 PM and demonstrations begin at 5:10 PM

Tickets and information about the clinic can be found on the Indians’ website.
