Pye-Barker acquires Security Solutions in Connecticut

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety – the largest fully integrated and full-service fire protection, life safety and security provider in the US – has acquired Security Solutions Inc. acquired, a provider of security, alarm and surveillance systems serving the Norwalk, Connecticut area.

Security Solutions has been a family-owned business for more than 30 years and has built a solid presence with clients from Greenwich to New Haven. The addition of SSI will enable Pye-Barker to bring its full suite of fire protection and security alarm services to new communities.

Security Solutions Inc. (SSI), founded and run by the Orvis family, has built a great reputation in the North East by offering security alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, access control and 24/7 monitoring. Current President James “Jamie” Orvis is known for his leadership within the Electronic Security Association (ESA), which awarded him its Person of the Year Award in 2009, and the Alarm Industry Research and Educational Foundation (AIREF), where he AIREF Golf Classic to fund research and training in the industry.
