Sidewalk installation project along Mission Road calls for temporary lane closures

HOWARD COUNTY, MD – A construction project to build a section of sidewalk along Mission Road from Guilford Road to Dorsey Cove in Jessup has begun. Weather permitting, the project should be completed by the end of July 2024.

“Expanding neighborhood connections makes our community a happier, healthier and more vibrant place for everyone. Over the past five years, we have expanded our provincial investments in multimodal transportation to more than $50 million, supporting vital projects like this. This critical project will fill a missing sidewalk connection along Mission Road, better connecting area residents and students to Guilford Park High School,” said Howard County Executive Calvin Ball.

Marking operations will take place to direct traffic as temporary lane closures will be necessary during construction hours, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
