There are rare instances where the WWE forms a working partnership with other wrestling promotions. But the Connecticut-based wrestling promotion has worked out a deal with TNA that will see the promotion’s top stars appear at a WWE event. TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace and Mickie James were part of last year’s Royal Rumble, and recently Grace appeared on one of the NXT shows, which has opened up more possibilities for a crossover show. One of WWE’s top stars, Drew McIntyre, recently teased a possible return to his old stomping grounds and would take on a superstar wrestler.

Drew McIntyre takes note of the recent Forbidden Door breach, TNA star Moose responds

After TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace appeared on a recent episode of NXT to challenge Roxanne Perez for the women’s title, it has created a lot of discussion in the wrestling world. RAW superstar and former three-time world champion Drew McIntyre took note of the Knockouts Champion appearing on NXT. The Scottish warrior posted a photo of himself holding the TNA Championship on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). McIntyre captioned the tweet saying: ‘door open on both sides.’

Former TNA Champion Moose took note of McIntyre’s tweet and urged him to return, saying he knew where the Scottish Warrior’s title obsession actually began. “DREW, I see where your title obsession started. If this is something you really want. Have your boss call my boss. The outcome will be the same,” Moose tweeted.

Notably, McIntyre performed in TNA before returning to the WWE and used the IM ring name Drew Galloway during his independent and TNA days. He also had some championship runs and top matches in the wrestling promotion. His return to his old stomping grounds will be a surreal sight to see. But it remains to be seen if the WWE will pull the trigger.
